Christopher J. Gray Firm Wins $765,000 Arbitration Award Against Credit Suisse

Christopher J. Gray and his co-counsel, Gregory S. Collett of Brooklyn, New York, obtained an arbitration award of over $765,000 against respondent Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC in the matter of Raubvogel v. Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, FINRA Dispute Resolution Case No. 09-02906.. A Boca Raton, FL FINRA arbitration panel found Credit Suisse liable for selling the claimants, two retirees and a family trust, certain mortgage REITs that the claimants had alleged were unsuitable and sold in a misleading manner. The FINRA panel also found that Credit Suisse’s conduct violated the Florida Securities Act, Section 517.301. Claimants’ expert witness was Jeffery Schaff of Ardor Fiduciary Services in Northbrook, Illinois. The FINRA arbitration panel was chaired by Randy R. Freedman, Esq. and the other two arbitrators were Steven G. Montesi and James D. McDonald. The award can be accessed below.
